In the second last regular(?) episode of TheBlogcast I find myself cursing the name of Carl Rove and his media attention.. which strangely sounds like the media attention that Trump drove before and after the election. I also moan about the state of the union of new music for early 2010 which apparently wasn’t very good.
Okay– so I skipped Episode 17. It was a Christmas episode and now, quite frankly, is not the time for Christmas. Most people I know are still trying to escape the clutches of winter, and are not interested in diving headfirst into the season again. This episode collected tracks from what used to be an annual mix-CD exchange.
I was a little political in the sixteenth episode of TheBlogcast. I petition the show’s listener to fight back against ACTA, which ultimately failed. It keeps rearing its head under different alias’ though. Most recently, pieces of it were embedded into the TPP. Keep fighting for your privacy, folks.
There was a live release by Matthew Good a few years back where he comments how part of being an artist is the permanent record of one’s own idiocy. He was commenting on one of his own tracks and some of its lyrics and how moronic they were. I listened to the opening of this episode and I truly felt embarrassed. I am not the same guy now that I was back in 2009. I actually considered not re-posting this episode, but I felt that it was important that I did. To me, it demonstrates that people can and do change. I do apologize for the cold opening of this episode. Take comfort in knowing I’m not the same man.
The thirteenth episode was paying homage to what inspired me to do my own podcast to begin with– Rough Sundays which was produced by Aric S. Queen. Rough Sundays was a show dedicated to those waking up after a good Saturday night. Strangely enough, the resurfacing of his podcast in recent weeks is also partially responsible for me bringing my own show back. Bandwagoning? Perhaps. Do I care? Not really.
In lucky number 13, I was apparently ranty about something. Not sure what it was yet, as I’m still listening to it. Will I actually reveal what I’m somewhat pissy about? Listen to find out.
The carton of eggs episode where I talk about Johnson exercises gone wrong.
The all indie show. In this episode, I play nothing but unsigned acts and marvel at the amount of great music out there that no one is listening to.
In the tenth show of TheBlogcast, I celebrate by doing a little dance but offer the listeners nothing in return. The music gets shaken up a bit by offering some Japanese pop and rock. I also talk about a study about gamers and depression.
In this 9th episode of TheBlogcast, I play some cottage time requests and comment on the Bill Clinton North Korea reporter rescue. The show has found itself at this point.
